About the Box

Can a Pilkhan Nature Box be completed by the child alone?

Each box contains a guided interaction and includes material as well as a complete set of instructions for the child to read or to be read to. These help them enjoy their activities while learning about nature. However, our boxes contain seeds, paint and other items - some of which can be harmful if ingested. Some of the foraging activities need careful supervision and some of the craft activities involve sharp objects. For this reason, adult supervision is required when opening the box and completing the activities. The boxes are not recommended for children under three years of age.

Do I need to purchase anything extra for the activities?

Our boxes are designed keeping in mind busy parents and hence have all the material required to get you started. Most craft activities are designed to get children outdoors into the garden or Local Park to forage for some of the materials required.

You will require basic stationary like staplers and hole punches for the crafts from time to time. While everything for the planting activity will be provided including the seeds, coir pot and soil mix, some plants might require transplantation once they start to grow. You will require bigger pots and more soil mix at this stage.

There might be months where you would be required to recycle items such as glass bottles or toilet paper rolls. We will email you and give you fair warning.

We don’t have a garden. Is there any point in subscribing?

The Pilkhan Nature Box is accessible to kids without gardens as well. All the material is provided for the planting activities. Users can start growing their plants irrespective of the amount of space available. Some plants will however benefit from more space. This can be achieved by using larger planters or pots.

The foraging activities for the crafts can also be carried out at local parks.

Ordering & Payment

How does the Pilkhan subscription work?

We offer multiple types of nature boxes. Some such as the monthly nature boxes can be subscribed to.You have the option to choose either a 1 month, 3 month or 6 month plan.

The setup process is simple! Just go to the box that you would like to start your subscription from. Follow the on screen instructions to choose the preferred duration. You will also be able to choose whether to receive the current month’s box if it is still available to purchase, or to start with the next month’s box. 

When will my box be shipped?

Once ordered, we will make sure your box is delivered to your doorstep. Previous months boxes, if available will be shipped immediately. For the following month, the boxes are shipped at the end of each month, so you will receive your box in the 1st week of the month.

What is the shipping cost?

The payment for your box is inclusive of all taxes and shipping. However, if your box is returned undelivered you are expected to pay the shipping for the second attempt, as only the first attempt is covered in the cost.

What do I do if my box hasn’t arrived?

If you are anticipating a delivery and it hasn’t shown up as expected, don’t panic! Please let us know by emailing us at hello@pilkhan.in and we will investigate. You can also track your package using the details mailed to you upon dispatch.

How can I update my address incase we move?

If you ever want to make any changes to your address you can do so by mailing us at hello@pilkhan.in. We start processing the boxes for shipping from the 20th of the month so changes to address details need to be made before then.

How does payment work?

We take payment in advance for our boxes. The payment is inclusive of all taxes and shipping. It will reflect in your bank account as Pilkhan Nature Private Limited/ Razor Pay

Canceling & Refunds

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds once a subscription has been purchased. There are multiple elements in the box and much planning and early procurement goes into achieving your order. Hence we cannot reverse payments.

To avoid such a situation, we highly recommend going through the sneak peak of the box of the month or the previous boxes page before placing your order.

What do I do if my box has damaged or missing items?

While we try our best to carefully package our boxes, we understand that sometimes an item may be missing from a box or that things may happen beyond our control during transit. If your box contents are damaged or you are missing any items, please contact us at hello@pilkhan.in within 24 hours of receipt and we will send out a replacement straight away.

What is you cancellation policy?

Incase you had set your preference to auto renew while taking your prepaid subscription, you can login 15 days prior to renewal and cancel. You can also do this by sending an email to hello@pilkhan.in. You will always receive any boxes that you paid for before you cancelled.

Please note that cancelling a subscription only ensures a subscription will not renew and does not cancel or refund any unshipped shipments.
